Konami Acquire Uefa Champions League License!

After the many Rumours circling the net about Konami acquiring the Uefa Champions League License, we can finally confirm that these rumours were actually true. We contacted Konami this morning to see if we could get this clarified, and a Spokesperson confirmed this to us and added,  “Yes, i am pleased to confirm that Konami have indeed got the Uefa Champions League License, after months of talks with Uefa. They are now starting work on introdcuing The Uefa Champions League into Forthcoming Games”. Continue reading

Fifa 09 Demo Coming on September 11th!

David Rutter, Line Producer on the PS3/360 Verions of FIFA 09 as just confirmed to us that a Demo of this years versions of the sports franchise is scheduled to be hitting both the EU and US Playstation Stores on September 11th.

Why PS3 games need an install

The Official Playstation Magazine (August issue) has the reasoning as to why a certain amount of Playstation 3 games require an install. Its because its quicker to read the game data from the hard drive rather than the Blu-Ray disc. This also means shorter loading times during gameplay. Continue reading

Leaked: Is this the cover of Fifa 09?

FIFA 09 ps3 cover?

We have just been sent this boxart by a number of users, they all claim that this is the offical box art for the United Kingdom version of Fifa 09. This is far from confirmed, and we have contacted EA for their take on this, but have yet to receive anything back. We are pretty skeptical on this as it could easily have been done by a photoshopper. Continue reading

10 vs 10 Confirmed for Fifa 09!

David Rutter, Line Producer on the PS3/360 Verions of FIFA 09 as told Games Radar that both version will feature 10 vs 10 online Play. Rutter said: “We’ve managed to get 10 v 10 this year online through strength of will and technological nous. But we want to make sure the control system for controlling goalkeepers is compelling enough before putting it in, because no game has done it particularly well, if it’s even been in there.

Elefunk Coming on July 17th!

Sony have officialy confirmed that downloaded game Elefunk, which was scheduled to hit PSN last Thursday, will be coming next Thursday, July 17th. The Price is currently unknown but our guess would be £4.99.

Playstation Store Update for July 10th!

Is this real? Have we finally got a early update before noon. Yes we have..but this is one we could have waited for. Echochrome finally hits European Stores, with its little PSP brother in tow, but not much else to talk about.  Not a major update, but we reckon Sony have a few surprises ready for next week, considering it’s E3 and all.
